For those folks who have built agents (either in Glean or another platform), what are the use cases that have brought the greatest impact to your business? What results have they driven, and how did you build them?
From a sales perspective.. Detailed email follow ups creation from a Gong recording link is great! Also the pre-call hypothesis prompt is huge to prep for meetings and come in with a POV to the call.
I use agents to consolidate customer feedback across calls and channels! It saves me a significant amount of time locating insights and allows me to make more data-driven decision.
One of our most useful internal agents is one that auto-creates a Pull Request with all our Release Notes every two weeks. We pull a list of Jira tickets that have been recently released, so no one has to spend time formatting and creating a request to include that on our docs site. This would have taken several hours every 2 weeks.
Prepare for the week agent. I take lots of notes with action items, get tagged in Slack threads and Jira tickets. Agent reads through my notes and other data sources to assemble a plan for the week and priorities. Saves me time and provides a great snapshot of work, but most importantly gives me insight into things I would have missed.
My favorite agent we have is also one of our most popular. Building a point of view for our work with new customers. A lot of work for individuals across all departments is delivering solutions that matter to our customers. We want to solve their problems and create opportunities for them to grow.
To do that effectively, we have to understand their business and industry. We have to understand what products and services they provide , why, and how. Thinking back to my consulting days, this task used to take a team of associates hours to perform. We'd have to assemble a deck, conduct deep market and customer research, and assemble a point of view on the customer and their needs.
With the Glean Agent - all of this is assembled for me to review in about 25 seconds. Glean looks at internal and external sources, conducts deep analysis of our customer and identifies opportunities for Glean to drive increased productivity. I'm still responsible for the review, but I can visually see how Glean conducts the research and assembles the information. Something that used to take a team of people hours now takes just a couple of minutes.
This doesn't replace those people, it just lets them work on other tasks more directly aligned to driving value for the business. What other agents are people using at their own company's?
For my IT team an agent that handles user inquiries on slack and opens Jira tickets directly has been a huge help!

We have been trying to create an agent that does something similar for our sales team. Is this one of the agents published by Glean? We can only build the very basic agents but they don't do anything useful. When we attempt those - we seem to get stuck somewhere.
