Pre-existing unit tests for custom glean integrations

Does glean have any pre-existing written unit tests in python for custom connectors? Is it possible to be provided any unit test scripts that already exist that you commonly use to test your integrations for the sake of time savings, or do you advise most people to write their own.

Hey @Alex1105 - we don't have any pre-existing tests that can be easily shared. That said, the way the custom connectors were designed (assuming you're referring to the glean-indexing-sdk) was to model the methods in the connector class as discrete workflow steps. So, get_data, transform, and index_data were all intended to be modeled with straightforward inputs and outputs to make it very simple to test each stage individually. Additionally, the data_client implementation can be injected into the class at test time, providing a way for you to provide mock data to your connector.
