We would like Glean to add a manual sync or refresh option for People Data. Right now, people data updates are not immediate, and the UI often indicates that updates can take up to four hours to appear. This creates friction when admins need urgent changes like new hires, title updates, department changes, or manager changes to show in Glean right away.

A manual sync button in the People Data admin area would give admins a way to trigger an immediate refresh instead of waiting for the next automatic sync cycle. Ideally, it would also show sync status and last sync time so admins can quickly confirm whether a change has been picked up. This would make people data management more responsive and reduce confusion when time-sensitive directory updates need to be reflected immediately.
