Request to add first-class support in the default Glean Slackbot for tagging the current on-call engineer only when a user explicitly mentions 

Today, the recommended way to implement this behavior is via a Glean agent that:

However, the user expectation in our org is that this behavior comes from the "default" Glean Slackbot itself, not from a custom agent. This leads to:

Confusion about where to configure the behavior (agent vs. bot)

Extra setup and maintenance overhead for each workspace that wants this pattern

Add a built-in, configurable option in the default Glean Slackbot to:

Listen for messages containing the literal 

 is present, resolve the current on-call engineer from the configured on-call source (for example PagerDuty or another schedule provider).

Post a reply in the same thread/channel tagging the current on-call engineer.

Do nothing for messages that do not contain 

Mapping between Slack workspace and on-call schedule source

Matches users' mental model of a "default" Glean Slackbot helper

Reduces the need for every customer to build and maintain their own agent for a very common pattern

Ensures consistent behavior across channels and teams

We can achieve this today by putting the logic in a Glean agent exposed in Slack, with a guard condition that only runs when 

 appears in the message. This works, but it:

Is less discoverable than a simple Slackbot setting

Having this as a native Slackbot feature would simplify configuration and align with how users expect on-call helpers to behave in Slack.
