Feature Request: Index Microsoft To Do and Planner Tasks in Glean

Please add support for indexing Microsoft To Do and Microsoft Planner tasks in Glean so users and agents can retrieve task data alongside Outlook, Teams, Loop, and calendar content. 

Many users manage action items in Microsoft To Do / Planner rather than keeping them only in email or calendar. Today, Glean can search standard Outlook content, but task-specific metadata is not available through the current connector behavior. 

Because of this gap, users cannot reliably:

Find open tasks across Microsoft task systems

Ask agents for “what is due today/this week”

Prioritize work using task status, due date, or priority

Consolidate work from Outlook, Teams, Loop, and Planner/To Do into one grounded workflow

Enhance the Microsoft/O365 connector so Glean can index Microsoft To Do and Planner tasks as searchable content.

Source context where applicable (for example, task created from Outlook, Teams, Loop, or OneNote)

Filter by due date ranges such as due today, due this week, overdue

Use this task data inside Assistant and Agents for daily planning, action tracking, and follow-up workflows

Daily focus / day planning agents
Users want an agent to summarize their priority work across email, meetings, and task systems. Glean support already documented this as part of the Outlook metadata limitation and specifically called out Microsoft To Do task due dates, priority flags, completion status, and categories as unavailable today.

Cross-Microsoft action management
Tasks are often created from Outlook, Teams, Loop, and OneNote


Without task indexing, Glean has an incomplete view of user work. Email and calendar alone do not capture all assigned actions. For many teams, Microsoft To Do / Planner is the system of action tracking, so excluding it limits the usefulness of search, Assistant, and agents for personal productivity and team coordination.

This request would be considered successful if:

Microsoft To Do and Planner tasks are indexed and searchable in Glean

Task metadata is exposed reliably enough for Assistant and Agents to use

Users can retrieve open tasks by due date, priority, and completion state

Results respect existing Microsoft permissions and assignment visibility

Task data can be combined with Outlook, Teams, and calendar context in grounded answers
