Request: Add native indexing support for Microsoft Loop (.loop) documents

Microsoft Loop documents are now a primary collaboration artifact for meeting agendas, live notes, decisions, action items, and follow-up tracking across Microsoft 365. In our environment, internal workflows already treat Loop meeting notes as a system of record for extracting action items, owners, due dates, overdue tasks, and notes relevant for daily planning.

Today, this content is not consistently retrievable through Glean. Existing 

 files in the Meetings folder can return 

, which creates a material retrieval gap for recent meeting outputs.

Loop is not an edge-case file type. It is embedded in normal Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 meeting workflows, and Loop documents are actively created, stored, and shared as part of recurring team collaboration.

This gap reduces search completeness in one of the highest-value content categories: post-meeting execution. When Loop content is missing, Glean loses access to the most current layer of operational knowledge, including:

linked supporting documents and references

Internal enablement materials also explicitly position meeting notes as a core AI input for extracting actions and producing downstream work products.

Please add native indexing support for Microsoft Loop 

 documents so they can participate in enterprise retrieval the same way other Microsoft 365 collaboration artifacts do.

indexing of headings, bullets, tables, and checklist items

extraction of actionable entities such as task text, owners, due dates, and linked references when present

preservation of Microsoft 365 permissions and access boundaries

reliable freshness so newly updated meeting notes become searchable within normal indexing latency expectations

deep linking back to the source Loop document

enterprise search completeness across Microsoft 365

agent workflows that depend on current meeting outputs

user trust that Glean can retrieve the artifacts generated in the tools they use every day

 files are discoverable by title and body text in search results

checklist items and task-like content are retrievable from indexed content

recently modified Loop meeting notes are searchable without manual workarounds

search results respect inherited Microsoft 365 permissions

indexed Loop results can be cited and linked back to the original document

If Glean is intended to be the enterprise retrieval layer for Microsoft 365 work, 

 support is now foundational rather than optional. Loop is where a growing share of meeting-generated operational knowledge lives, and not indexing it leaves a meaningful gap in search, follow-through, and automation coverage.
