Currently, the Admin Console supports self-service field configuration for Salesforce custom objects you add. For standard/native objects (Account, Opportunity, etc.), field additions still require a request to the Glean team.

It would be great to extend self-service field selection to standard objects within the Admin portal. Something as simply as a CSV import of required fields including Object, Field API Name, and Field Data Type could work.
