I am constantly uploading new documents to Glean to improve my results. How do y'all maintain privacy while doing this? Please share your tips and tricks!
When I am working on a particular topic, such as researching industry reports, I often download them to my laptop. Now I download them all to a single place in GDrive. This lets me share them securely with my team, but, and this is the SUPER COOL part, I can also build a Glean app that lets my team analyze and summarize them. And because Glean reflects the GDrive permissions, no unauthorized folks can get to them!
Make sure the source docs only have the folks who need to access it. On the flip side, if you want something to be Glean serach-able, make sure to click "Can find in search results" under the sharing menu (example is from Google Docs):
I love this tip!
Plus one to this! Creating an app in Glean always helps improve my answers if I want to pull in only specific documents. Since Glean already respects permissions in the native applications, I don't need to worry about anything being accessed by someone who shouldn't see it.
We're a G-suite company. I always make sure that I only share the file with users I want to share before saving the document.
