As a tab minimalist, I’ve been using the extension sidebar to avoid opening extra tabs for quick lookups—Cmd + J keeps things fast, and I can reference the page or content I’m already viewing. It’s also helpful for working with images: if I come across a graphic in a technical paper that’s hard to understand, I can screenshot it and Glean will explain, pulling in relevant context from the document and my work.

Overall, it’s made research and content creation way more efficient for me. Would be interested to hear if anyone has found unique ways to use it, or any practical feedback.

Yes, I love the extension sidebar! I do a lot of research in my role as a Solutions marketer, and it's been a great way to organize the articles I'm reading. I use the extension sidebar to get a 1-2 sentence summary of the article, which I add when saving the article to the Collection I've made on the topic. I also often ask questions about details in the article, especially if I want to understand if it's worth reading or if I'm revisiting it after some time.

After adding the articles to the Collection, I then train a Glean agent on just the materials in the Collection so it can become an expert on that research content. I share both the Collection and the agent with the sales team to help sellers quickly get up to speed on our departmental personas!
