I recently listened to this chat that @EmptySea shared around 'Building an AI mindset to drive adoption', and as someone whose had similar conversations with dozens of different leaders throughout the course of building out Glean's community & customer marketing functions, I'd say this is a must-listen, because he nailed it.
The key to broader enterprise AI adoption isn't just putting the tools in the hands of more employees, but rather focusing on several key principles:
- Ensuring that leadership embraces & demonstrates AI-first behavior
- Building a foundation of trust, by being explicit about intentions of augmentation vs replacement
- Slowing down to speed up— employees need time and space to explore without consequence, this might cause temporary delays, but the trade off should be worth it
If you haven’t met Mark, his work at ezCater is worth watching. There’s no clear roadmap for “AI” right now, but he’s been laying solid foundations that will carry his team into the future.
After you give this a listen— What might you add to the list? 🤔
