Knowledge Management best practices

What are some best practices in regards to KM and document visibility/discoverability? For example: we have a lot of older/archived documents that keep being pulled up in search results, but they're not the newest version. It's hard to use the 'Verifcation' feature for this because of the sheer amount of documents. We're also struggling on where this content should live. Is it a Glean answer or a Google Drive doc or a Notion page? Any thoughts or wins would be greatly appreciated. 🤗

Kat, I strongly push for content management to be handled by the source system. This is so much easier said than done when standards around content management are either non-existent, non-enforceable or oft ignored. It also doesn't help that SharePoint/OneDrive and Google Drive don't do content managers any favors by making Archiving more difficult than it needs to be. Glean has helped us identify when best practices for versioning haven't been followed, but once older content is discovered, we make changes at the source (rather than using Verification) and use the opportunity to re-educate content owners.
