Our team is working on leveraging Glean for a critical part of our test case generation process, which involves analyzing design assets (Figma).
We are attempting to have Glean read a PNG image file that is hosted on an Amazon S3 bucket. The link to this file is generated via the Figma REST API's export function.
The Issue:
When we attempt to use this S3 link with Glean, it consistently reports that the resource is blocked due to an authentication requirement (refer the screenshot below).
SS:
Context and Access Check:
- The generated S3 link is publicly accessible without any special headers, tokens, or cookies.
- The URL structure begins with
https://figma-alpha-api.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/... - As a cross-check, we tested the exact same URL with a different AI model (Claude). It used a simple
cURL command, and was able to download and analyze the image without any issues or special authentication.
Our Need:
Being able to access and read these Figma-generated S3 assets is vital for our team to create effective, design-accurate test cases using Glean.
Could you please advise if there is a known issue or a specific configuration Glean requires to access these types of publicly accessible S3 links? Is Glean's infrastructure configured to block or bypass standard S3 public access permissions, even when no authentication is explicitly required by the resource?
Thank you for your help!
