Some connectors support file content that is not directly available; Box, for example, may have linked content that attempts to download via redirect. This throws a 302 error, as Glean is not able to follow redirects at this time.
As a result, files may not be indexed with their actual context, surfacing errors like "document not accessible" or "could not find content." When Glean fails to follow redirects, users encounter missing content, incomplete search results, and errors in downstream features such as document summarization or chat. This impacts user trust and the perceived reliability of Glean's Box integration.
